Dimethylacetamide, the full name is N,N- Dimethylacetamide (chemical formula: CH 3 C(O)N(CH 3 ) 2 ), abbreviated as DMAC. A commonly used aprotic polar solvent.
Dimethylacetamide is a colorless and transparent liquid, which can be mixed with organic solvents such as water, alcohol and ether. It is a polar solvent. Dimethylacetamide has good thermal stability and is stable and does not decompose even at the boiling point. It can be purified by distillation; it is stable in aqueous solution, but will promote hydrolysis in the presence of acid and alkali. Due to the introduction of an ethyl group into the molecular structure, Dimethylacetamide has a boiling point that is 10°C higher & above than dimethylformamide (DMF) (the boiling point of DMF is 153°C), so it has a better boiling point than DMF thermal and chemical stability. In organic synthesis, Dimethylacetamide is an excellent catalyst, which can accelerate reactions such as cyclization, halogenation, cyanation, alkylation and dehydrogenation, and can improve the yield of the main product.

Uses:
Mainly used as a solvent in the organic and pharmaceutical industries, used in the plastics industry to manufacture polyamide resins and gums, used as a solvent for acrylonitrile spinning in the chemical fiber industry, used in the manufacture of catalysts and electrolytic solvents in chemical production, and used in the coating industry. Formulated paint removers and a variety of crystalline solvent adducts and complexes, used as chemical reagents in analytical chemistry.

Packaging and storage:
Net content of 190 kg/iron drum or 10,000 kg special tank. It should be sealed and stored in a cool and dry place to avoid water absorption and sunlight exposure, and should not be close to fire sources.

Uses :
1. DMAC is mainly used as a solvent for synthetic fibers (acrylonitrile) and polyurethane spinning and synthetic polyamide resins, and is also used as an extractive distillation solvent for separating styrene from C8 fractions, and is widely used in polymer films; coatings and medicine. At present, it is widely used in medicine and pesticide to synthesize antibiotics and pesticides.
2. Can be used as catalyst for reaction; electrolytic solvent; paint scavenger and various crystalline solvent adducts and complexes.
3. Used as solvent, paint remover, catalyst and for organic synthesis.
